The Graduate Schools & Career Expo during the University Research Symposium (URS) brings many schools, professional programs, and employers to share information and discuss advanced degree programs with exceptional students. Students presenting and attending the Expo come from at least ten undergraduate and graduate institutes from Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia. Last year, the symposium had 120 students from 12 regional universities. In addition, many of UWA’s current students, who are not presenting at the conference, attend the Expo to explore graduate opportunities or careers in their area of interest.   

Reasons to Attend

• In-person access to undergraduates with significant research experience and interests in graduate and professional schools
• Pre-show participant demographics (number of participants, class year, post-graduation goals)
• Post-show access to poster competitor mailing list
• Opportunity to develop relationships with undergraduate faculty advisors
• The institution’s logo appears on the event website and in the printed program

Registration

The participation fee is only $150, which includes complimentary breakfast, lunch, and banquet dinner for up to two representatives.

Set-Up

The fair will be held in the Huge Gym on the UWA campus.  Registration includes a 6-foot table with up to 2 attendees and a parking permit for a nearby parking lot. 

Sending Materials

If you need to ship materials ahead of time, please notify us. You can ship your materials and it will be waiting for you when you arrive to set up your information table.
